What can you learn?

  • Level I Certification Art Clay Silver (ACS) Classes
In order to become a certified instructor, you must successfully complete the Level One Certification course. This course is designed to provide an in-depth knowledge of Art Clay. The curriculum consists of nine different projects taught over 24 hours of instruction (typically three eight hour days), and covers a variety of techniques. Some of the techniques include use of organic forms, creating flat and round-shank rings, addition and firing of gemstones and glass, creating a mirror finish, and much more. This course provides general and technical information, as well as some helpful teaching guidelines.

  • Crossover Certification Classes
The Crossover Certification course is a three-project class that covers some of the specialty Art Clay products. This class is available to certified PMC Instructors. In order to qualify, an individual must have become Level One PMC certified before December 1, 2007 or Level Two PMC certified any time thereafter. All students that take a Crossover Certification will be required to submit a copy of their PMC certificates.
  • Upon successful completion of the Level One or Crossover Certification course, you are entitled to:

    1. 35% discount on Art Clay Silver Series products (when purchased through ACW USA Inc.)
    2. Teach Art Clay Introductory classes
    3. Take the Senior Level Certification Course

  • Level II (Senior) Certification Art Clay Silver (ACS) Classes
The Senior Certification course is designed to provide advanced techniques as well as a creative challenge for the individuals who have completed Level One or Crossover Certification. There are a total of seven projects taught over 32 hours (typically four eight hour days). This course teaches students to incorporate gold foil, brass, and fine silver bezel wire. It also introduces the use of three-dimensional design, with emphasis on detail and fine finishing. Successful completion of this course entitles you to apply for Senior Instructor Status. Art Clay World, USA, approves and certifies instructors into the Senior Instructor community by reviewing an application and examining a selection of 3 pieces of original work. The pieces submitted must reflect the techniques and skills the individual learned during their Art Clay education, as well as the ability to creatively design original pieces while following guidelines. A non-refundable $200 application fee is also required from anyone submitting for Senior Instructor status.

Upon approval the applicant will be entitled to:

    1. 42% discount on Art Clay Silver Series products (when purchased through ACW USA Inc.)
    2. Purchases over $500.00 may be granted "net 15" payment terms for accounts in good standing
    3. Teach all levels of Art Clay courses, including the Level One, Crossover and Senior Level Certifications

I have got to say that luck has funny ways of showing itself! I was lucky tonight to have met you!... I enjoyed speaking with you about your jewelry design and your website.

I LOVE your designs and think they epitomize the "fun, easy to wear jewelry" that I was just speaking about the other day on my Twitter account! One day I am speaking about this kind of jewelry and then, amazingly, I am speaking to a gifted artist who creates it.

I will get back to looking at your site because I would love to take some of the classes that you offer. I do have some design experience and have taken wax carving at FIT and jewelry design sketching at the Gemological Institute of America.

Thank you again for taking the time to speak with me tonight and I will look forward to speaking with you soon.

Sincerely,

-Marc Knobloch, VP, Aron Knobloch Inc.

Thank you for the beautifully packed order of supplies. It was waiting for me when I got home, and I can't wait to curl up with the book tonight. We are clearing a safe area in our basement, and I'm really looking forward to reviewing what you showed us in the class. Donna, Catherine (and Catherine's husband) are all eager to start practicing! I have a feeling we may all be back for another class with you -- it was great fun. Thank you again for a really wonderful day. I have had a lot of pleasure from the many different crafts I have tried in my life, but I never thought I could do glassmaking. It's a very exciting adventure you have launched us on! You are right, the book is just gorgeous. Thank you again for your kindness on the phone, and for providing me with the tools to make a good start. PS - my little red donuts are hanging as charms from a bracelet -- everybody loves them!

-Ruth, Verona, NJ

Dori, I want to thank you for the wonderful morning we had at your studio on Saturday! Ruth, Catherine and I are still talking about it. Thank you also for the three great pix you emailed! How serious we all look!... Well, thank you again for your good teaching and your hospitality. We will keep in touch. PS: My beads are still in one piece!

-Donna, Fairlawn, NJ

It was a wonderful time with you... [I] have a strong sense of accomplishment. Thanks for the great experience.
